<p>Under Musk, the platform was going through some upheaval and removed 1,982 accounts for encouraging terrorism inside the nation.</p>
<p>X blocked 5,08,155 accounts nationwide within the reporting period. In accordance with the new IT Rules, 2021, X reported on a monthly basis that 14,421 complaints were received by its grievance redressal systems from users in India over the same period.</p>
<p>Furthermore, 41 concerns involving the appeal of account suspensions were handled by X. “After examining the details of the case, we reversed one of these account bans. The business said that the remaining reported accounts are still suspended.</p>
<p>During this reporting period, “we received 71 requests related to general questions about accounts,” the statement said.</p>
<p>Ban evasion accounted for the majority of complaints from India (7,510), with hostile behavior (1,395), encouraging suicide or self-harm (3,785), and abuse/harassment (746), following closely after.</p>
<p>From December 26 to January 25, 2,31,215 Indian accounts were banned by X. During this time, the microblogging site removed 1,945 accounts for encouraging terrorism.</p>
