Polish Karolina Bielawska, Miss World 2023, crowned Krystyna. After 28 years, the beauty contest made a comeback to India. The latest one took place in Bengaluru in 1996.

To win the crown, the Czech beauty defeated Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon, Ache Abrahams from Trinidad and Tobago, and Lesego Chombo from Botswana. Sini Shetty, Miss India (and a Mumbai girl), was only able to reach the Top 8.

Shetty was eliminated from the competition because of her response to the competition question during the Top 8 round, which did not please the judges. She was questioned on the role social media may play in empowering women.

According to Sini, social media has the ability to transform the world and has increased the involvement of women in a variety of professions. She went on to say that social media may propel global advancement. Out of the 112 competitors that took part, up to 40 contestants from across the globe were selected for the grand finale.

Bollywood actresses Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, and Sonakshi Sinha—who served as panelists—as well as Manushi Chhillar, the last Indian woman to win Miss World 2017 and speaker Sonakshi Sinha, Bollywood pop stars Shaan and Neha and Tony Kakkar—who gave incredible performances—reality TV experts Shiv Thakare and Mannara Chopra, and even Test cricketer turned Rajya Sabha MP Harbhajan Singh attended the grand finale, which was a star-studded affair.

Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, and Sharmin Segal, the starring women of the forthcoming Sanjay Leela Bhansali online series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, also made an appearance on a postponed live broadcast. At the location, Sakal Ban, the series’ opening song, which debuted on Saturday, was also performed.

At the 71st Miss World finals, Nita Ambani received the “Beauty with a Purpose Humanitarian Award.” She received recognition for her charitable contributions and an award. Priyanka Chopra, the 2000 Miss World winner, gave a special pre-recorded video message praising Nita Ambani’s efforts. “I have had the honor and privilege of knowing the phenomenal Nita Ambani for a few years now,” Priyanka said in the statement. I appreciate and adore her for all that she does. I’ve seen firsthand her enthusiasm, dedication, and meticulous attention to detail in all she does, as well as what goes on behind the scenes. I believe Nita Ma’am embodies everything Mrs. Morley attempted to impart in our impressionable brains at the time.
