Sarfaraz Khan, who is 26 years old, made his much-awaited Test debut for India in the third match against England on Thursday, February 15, causing tears for him and his family throughout the morning in Rajkot. Sarfaraz averages 69.9 in red-ball cricket and has been amassing runs in first-class cricket since 2020. He was rewarded for his continuous run with a Test cap. The Khan family was experiencing a very emotional day as Sarfaraz’s father Naushad and his spouse were unable to contain their emotions.

It was Sarfaraz’s dream in equal measure to his father’s, who has given much up for his boys. Mr Naushad broke down in tears when Anil Kumble gave Sarfraz his Test cap. Tears kept streaming down Naushad’s cheeks as he gave his kid a hug and kissed his test hat after the cap ceremony. As the Mumbai batter brushed away her tears, Sarfaraz’s wife also started to cry. Just unadulterated, unfiltered feelings of seeing dreams come true.
Because of the viral nature of Sarfaraz’s father’s images and videos, it has already become one of the highlights of the Test match.

Not only did Sarfaraz make his Test debut, however; as India made four lineup changes, Dhruv Jurel, the wicketkeeper batsman from Uttar Pradesh, also made his debut. In addition to Sarfaraz and Jurel, Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja returned to the Indian lineup as they attempt to grab the lead in the series. At Rajkot’s Niranjan Shah Stadium, Indian captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and chose to bat first on what seemed to be a very strong batting surface.
