Tata Realty & Infrastructure Ltd. uses football as a corporate sport of goals across the four parks in Chennai, Mumbai, Gurugram, and Bengaluru in an attempt to bring life into the workplace. The league invited freestyle footballer Tanisha Gupta to grace the occasion with her stunning talents and nimble performance, adding a touch of flare to the game.

Tanisha, a Punjabi native, began playing football at the young age of eight. Inspired by the five-time world champion and Guinness World Record holder Aghuska, Tanisha trained at Kendriya Vidyalaya by competing against male players. Her father’s professional move sent her and her family to Gujarat, where in her teens she took up freestyle football and was the only girl fan on the school’s football field. Her choice of freestyle signaled the beginning of an extraordinary and motivational journey through football.

“During the pandemic, I learned freestyle football from YouTube because I had no one to practice with,” she explains. I’ve concentrated on developing my upper and lower freestyle abilities the whole way. Tanisha is now attending college in Pune after finishing her education.

The young enthusiast, who placed 32nd in the World Freestyle Football Championship in 2021, is renowned for her incredible juggling talents and for showcasing her unique ability on a worldwide scale. “I see Tamil Nadu to be extremely supportive towards soccer and I’m excited to connect with my Southern fans who have been a significant part of my journey,” the performer, who is making her maiden appearance in Chennai, said.

Creative, eco-friendly extravaganza

Apart from being a joyous occasion full of exuberance, the league is also a model of innovation in the sports industry, demonstrating a dedication to unique and high-quality sustainability projects like using less plastic, forgoing non-biodegradable flex branding, and creating medals made of actual coconut shells.

Distinguished players from Chennaiyin FC, the professional football team based in Chennai, such as Ryan Edwards, Ninthoinganba Meetei, and Romario Jesuraj, graced the inaugural spectacle as well. They played an exciting exhibition match against the Amazon team, the seasoned champions. The league promises an action-packed spectacular that enthralls spectators and makes a lasting impression on the city’s sports scene, and matches continue until Friday.
