Several AI capabilities will be included by OneUI 6.1 and the Samsung Galaxy S24 series, claims trustworthy source Ice Universe. The company’s in-house voice assistant, Bixby, will also benefit from the improvements, he noted in the post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
One UI 6, which will be made available to customers in the next weeks, has already been issued by the South Korean behemoth. The software update’s ‘6.1’ version might be the next significant upgrade. Whether these features will be offered on older flagships from the “S” and “Z” series remains to be seen. If these features need specialized technology to function, customers may have to settle for a subpar experience.

In certain areas, the smartphones are expected to launch with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while Exynos 2400 will be used in others. In relation to the latter, Samsung said in a newspaper article on the Exynos CPU that the processor would provide a 14.7x improvement in AI performance over the Exynos 2200.

The chip will enable “text-to-image AI generation” in a new AI utility for forthcoming phones. Additionally, users will be able to take “4x close-ups of moving objects” with minimal quality degradation thanks to AI-based tracking technology. How well these functions function in the devices with Snapdragon processors is still up in the air. The Samsung Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, which might make its debut in January of next year, are the three models that potentially make up the Galaxy S24 series.
