<p>An official statement noted that discussions with representatives of the Santa Clara-based company Jay Hiremath, Senior Vice-President, AMD, and Soni Jiandani, Co-Founder of Pensando Systems (AMD Networking Technology and Solutions Group), centered on potential cooperation prospects.</p>
<p>Senior Karnataka government officials are traveling with M. B. Patil on a 12-day visit to the US.</p>
<p>The team from the Karnataka government, headed by M.B. Patil, went to the AMD Innovation Center.</p>
<p>Manufacturer of microprocessors, motherboard chipsets, embedded processors, graphics processors, and FPGAs for servers, workstations, personal computers, and embedded systems, AMD has a market cap of $150 billion.</p>
<p>India has been a market for AMD since 2001.</p>
<p>The firm now employs over 6,500 people throughout the nation, with locations in Bengaluru, New Delhi, Gurugram, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.</p>
<p>The occasion was attended by Priyank Kharge, the Karnataka Minister for Information Technology/Biotechnology and Science and Technology, S. Selvakumar, the Karnataka Government’s Principal Secretary, the Department of Commerce and Industries, Ekroop Caur, the Karnataka Government’s Secretary for Electronics Information Technology/Biotechnology and Science and Technology, Gunjan Krishna, the Commissioner for Industrial Development, and the Director, Industries and Commerce.</p>
