The HCA has asked BCCI to reschedule Pakistan’s warm-up match for the ICC ODI World Cup in 2023

The BCCI has once again been asked by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) to reschedule the matches that have been assigned to it for the forthcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023.<img decoding=”async” class=”alignnone wp-image-172148″ src=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-justin-trudeau-the-prime-minister-of-canada-snubbed-in-india-no-g20-bilateral-meet.jpg” alt=”theindiaprint.com justin trudeau the prime minister of canada snubbed in india no g20 bilateral meet” width=”989″ height=”658″ srcset=”https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-justin-trudeau-the-prime-minister-of-canada-snubbed-in-india-no-g20-bilateral-meet.jpg 275w, https://www.theindiaprint.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/theindiaprint.com-justin-trudeau-the-prime-minister-of-canada-snubbed-in-india-no-g20-bilateral-meet-150×100.jpg 150w” sizes=”(max-width: 989px) 100vw, 989px” title=”The HCA has asked BCCI to reschedule Pakistan's warm-up match for the ICC ODI World Cup in 2023 6″>

HCA has requested that the date of the September 29 warm-up game between Pakistan and New Zealand be changed after being allegedly warned by local security authorities that they would be unable to make sufficient preparations for the high-profile event.

According to a source, the security agencies have informed HCA that they won’t be able to provide appropriate protection for the PAK-NZ match on September 28 due to the festivals Milad-un-Nabi and Ganesh Visarjan.

The BCCI has received a request from HCA to reevaluate the dates for the ODI World Cup matches it is slated to host twice now.

In a previous communication, the security agencies informed HCA that they would not be able to cover one of the two back-to-back world cup matches that would be played on October 9 (New Zealand vs. the Netherlands) and October 10 (Pakistan vs. Sri Lanka) at the Rajiv Gandhi international cricket stadium.

According to sources, Hyderabad Police has orally informed HCA that it cannot manage both games since one of them is a match against Pakistan that would need for significant preparations.

This is the most recent problem with the 2023 ODI World Cup schedule, which was made public in June.

A new schedule, however, was released when the BCCI was asked to change the dates due to holiday conflicts by a number of state organizations, including the Gujarat Cricket Association and the Cricket Association of Bengal.

Nine games were thus rescheduled, including the highly anticipated India vs. Pakistan match on October 15 in Ahmedabad, which was moved forward by a day.

According to reports, the HCA is dissatisfied with the BCCI for not properly notifying them of the schedule change from the board and claims they haven’t received any formal correspondence.

Despite their previous request, BCCI and ICC made no revisions to the announcement of the sale of tickets, which included those for the warm-up games.

The first match of the world cup, between New Zealand and England, will take place on October 5 in Ahmedabad.
