<p>Rain forced the cancellation of the first match between India and Pakistan, and the likelihood that it may rain heavily again during their encounter on Sunday pushed the organizers to add a reserve day on Monday.</p>
<p>The other Super Four matchups weren’t granted the same privilege, therefore the ACC’s decision caused considerable criticism.</p>
<p>Coaches of Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, Chris Silverwood and Chandika Hathurasingha, disagreed with the ACC’s decision to offer a reserve day for the Super 4s match between India and Pakistan.</p>
<p>Prasad also criticized the ACC harshly. If the regulations are different for only two teams, according to the former pacer, it would be immoral.</p>
<p>“If true, this is the height of shamelessness. It is immoral to have a competition if the regulations are different for the other two teams, and the organizers have made a mockery of the event. It will only be reasonable if it is abandoned on the first day; may it rain more heavily the next day and these nefarious intentions fail, Prasad said on X.</p>
