With the help of the Tamil TV series Ethirneechal, the actor found prominence. The movie business and his admirers are still reeling over his death. Although he only directed two movies—Kannum Kannum (2008) and Pulivaal (2014)—he appeared in more than 50 Tamil movies during the course of his acting career. Jailer, starring Rajinikanth, was the actor’s most recent film. In the film, he had a demeaning part to perform.

The well-known filmmaker Vasanth talked with the media and expressed his sentiments regarding the late actor Marimuthu after paying respects to his corpse. He claimed to have collaborated with Marimuthu for over ten years. For several of his well-known works, the late actor had assisted him as a director and deputy director. Vasanth emphasized the success of the late actor Marimuthu by saying, “For the past year, wherever you look, it’s Marimuthu.”

He revealed a secret trait of the late actor and director Marimuthu and said that he never spoke without making a point. He always spoke with a purpose in mind. The poet and lyricist Vairamuthu introduced him to Marimuthu. He was later hired by filmmaker Vasanth as an assistant director for the film Aasai. The movie was a financial hit.

Later, Marimuthu was requested to appear in director Vasanth’s film Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum. Prior to it, the actor rose to fame for his part in the film Pariyerum Perumal. Vasanth and Marimuthu’s relationship was unaffected by this, nevertheless. The late actor insisted on being included in the film, and the director did.

Later, Sivaranjiniyum Innum Sila Pengalum was made available on Sony LIV, an OTT service. Both the general public and the reviewers gave the movie high marks. Three national accolades went to the movie. According to director Vasanth, Marimuthu was approached last week to sing in the movie’s promotional song.
