<p>Pushpendra Nath Misra, renowned for the films Ghoomketu (2020) and Taj Mahal 1989 (2020), is the writer and director of the heist comedy.</p>
<p>Shergill, who has worked with Netflix for the first time, said that Choona offered him the chance to push his acting limits.</p>
<p>“I have always favoured tales that challenge me to discover my potential. Additionally, as a reader, I like stories that are compelling, character-driven, and capture the essence of our diverse cultural heritage.</p>
<p>“Choona provided me the chance to portray a character that is sarcastic but endearing, which is unusual to me. The 52-year-old actor praised the story’s “high-spirited, captive, and engaging” nature in a statement.</p>
<p>The six small-time everyday joes who plot the daring robbery on the programme centre around their fervent need for retribution.</p>
<p>“Their target is an influential politician who has harmed them. The official summary said that “fate is the only thing that can make this heist successful with unconventional tactics and a highly disorganised plan.”</p>
<p>Aashim Gulati, Vikram Kochhar, Chandan Roy, Namit Das, Gyanendra Tripathi, Atul Srivastava, Monika Panwar, and Niharika Lyra Dutt are also included in the cast of Choona.</p>
<p>Flying Saucer produces the television programme.</p>
