Speech By Sonam Kapoor At King Charles Coronation Concert Called "Embarrassing" Online

Sonam Kapoor, a well-known Bollywood actress, recently attended the coronation of King Charles. The event had a lot of prominent people in attendance, making it really a star-studded affair. The historic crowning of King Charles was followed the next day by Tom Cruise and Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls attending the royal event at Windsor Castle on Sunday, May 7. Sonam Kapoor also had the opportunity to give a speech that was broadcast online. However, many online users found the speech to be “embarrassing.”

Sonam Kapoor began her performance with the word “Namaste” in the one-minute film that was posted on a prominent Bollywood subreddit. The Bahamas Youth chorus, a chorus from Risotto and Brunei, Steve Windwood, and the Virtual Commonwealth choral were among the choral performances that the Veere Di Wedding actress continued to present. Our Commonwealth is a union, she said.

Together, we make up a third of the world's population, a third of its oceans, and a quarter of its land. Each of our nations is distinctive. Every one of our individuals is unique. However, we decide to support this one. Building a more peaceful, sustainable, and successful future for everyone—where every voice is heard—requires taking lessons from our past, appreciating our diversity, being motivated by our beliefs, and learning from our experiences. Here's welcome the wonderful voices from the Commonwealth without further ado.

One internet user commented on the video by writing, “This is embarrassing. Almost as if attending the event weren't awkward enough. The fifth-grade English elocution competition is being held. She could have done it on purpose to get retribution. A another person said, “Truly a global embarrassment.” Another person said, “This is making me feel embarrassed in public. Can't she retire and spend her time away from the media?

Sunita Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor's mother, also posted the footage on her Instagram account. “So proud!” she captioned the photo. What an honor!” Sonam replied right after with the message “Love you (with red heart emojis)”. Sunita Kapoor responded by saying, “Love you.” The clap and love emojis were Arjun Kapoor's response. Maheep Kapoor and Bhavana Panday also congratulated the actress with the love and clap emojis. Great honor, Sanjay Kapoor wrote.

She will next be featured in the film Blind, directed by Shome Makhija and starring Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, and Lillete Dubey.
